Contact FAQs:
Can you speak at my event?
I take on a very limited number of premier speaking engagements each year, mostly in the U.S., chosen for audience fit, format, and objectives — and increasingly for how well they connect to my advisory work with bank and credit union boards. Email speaking@jpnicols.com with details about your event, audience, and budget to check availability.
Do you work with leadership teams, boards, or provide advisory/consulting services?
Yes — I work directly with bank and credit union boards and executive teams on strategy and relevance, typically in select executive or board-level sessions where context, judgment, and decision clarity matter. All of that work runs through Alloy Labs, where I’m cofounder and managing director, but it starts with a conversation with me. Email advisory@jpnicols.com with a brief description of what you’re facing and I’ll help you determine fit.
Can I introduce my fintech company to you and the banks you work with?
Alloy Labs reviews companies through its existing intake process. You can register in the Alloy Labs database, and the team will follow up if there is a potential fit.
Where can I hear your podcast or request to be a guest?
Breaking Banks is available wherever you get your podcasts. Guest requests can be submitted through the show’s website. We review many requests and prioritize those that bring clear value to the audience.
Where can I read your writing or follow you?
I regularly publish on LinkedIn and on the Alloy Labs blog

Wait, how do you know you’re one of the world’s worst soccer players?
Because I play in the “worst league you’ll ever love”, ECS Pub League
…and you’re “internationally recognized” for that?
Well, at least in Ireland, that’s for sure. We played a friendly against Ballybrack Seagulls FC and lost something like 14-1.
