Bio
After spending 20 years as a part of the leadership team growing a $6B regional bank into an industry leader with over $400B in assets, JP has been a bank innovation expert working at the intersection of fintech, innovation and financial services to help others turn potential into performance.
He is a Managing Director of the FinTech Forge, which extends the innovation capacity of financial institutions while dramatically lowering the cost and risk of innovation. He was also a founder of the Bank Innovators Council, which is now as a part of Next Money, a global community committed to reinventing finance through design, innovation and entrepreneurship.
He has served in past leadership and innovation roles at top financial institutions, including as the first Chief Private Banking Officer for a top five U.S. bank. He is a highly rated instructor on fintech and innovation at the Pacific Coast Banking School graduate school of business held at the University of Washington,Graduate School of Banking at Wisconsin, and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
He is also a popular recurring guest host of Breaking Banks, the world’s first global fintech radio show and podcast, and the flagship program for Provoke Media. With more than 5.5 million listeners from over 140 countries, it is the #1 business show on VoiceAmerica World Talk Radio. In 2017 he launched his own show on Provoke, Serial Intrapreneur, which tells the stories of leaders who battle the status quo inside their own companies to innovate and drive change.
As a bank innovation expert, JP has also been advisor to numerous early stage fintech companies and currently serves on the advisory board of Advizr. He previously served on the advisory board of Balance Financial and as Vice Chair of the board of Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.
